R303 Lifetime Roof Coating

A coating that will provide a strong, durable layer, to resist all types of contamination and moisture, giving maximum protection to the substrate below

Overview
Lifetime Roof Coating

Dirt Defence Lifetime waterproofing system is suitable for a variety of surfaces, specifically designed to waterproof, creating a strong, durable, yet elastic barrier on the surface. Our hybrid two part system is reinforced with polyester fabric allowing it to resist all types of moisture and dirt ingress whilst maintaining a vapour permeable, non hazardous, UV stable surface. The liquid can be used without the polyester fabric if required.

Suitable For Use On
Lifetime Roof Coating

Flat roofs, balconies, green roofs / living walls, gutters and drainage systems. Ideal for patching small areas and sealing long gutter runs.

How To Use
Lifetime Roof Coating

  • Apply the first coat to the surface using a brush or roller, making sure the surface is at the point of saturation (using 1 - 1.5kg per/m2)
  • Place the fabric on top of the initial coat until saturation occurs making sure that there is no air trapped beneath and the fabric is free of creases.
  • Apply the second coat ‘wet on wet’ to the saturated surface again using a brush or roller until a smooth finish is visible and the fabric is fully submerged (using 1.5kg per/m2)
  • The surface will be touch dry in <60 minutes, allow to fully cure for 24 hours before subjecting to foot traffic.
  • The product will be fully cured within 7 days.
  • For use without polyester fabric, apply 1 coat at approx. 1.5kg per m2

Surface Preparation
Lifetime Roof Coating

Always test a small hidden portion of the substrate before use, to ensure the final result is satisfactory and to calculate consumption. Primer may be required on certain surfaces such as: dry and wet concrete, steel, aluminium, lead, roofing felt and rigid bitumen based substrates. To establish if primer is required, perform an adhesion test with the waterproofing system before applying the product. See separate TDS for twin pack epoxy primer application (R235).

Ensure the surface is free from contaminants such as dirt, dust, oil, algae etc before proceeding to apply the product.

Storage
Lifetime Roof Coating

Keep out of reach of children. Keep in a dry place between 5c and 30c in the original container.

Important
Lifetime Roof Coating

Ensure substrate moisture content is below 5%. If contaminants come into contact with the surface or the surface is flawed shortly after the product is applied (e.g heavy rainfall may cause indents on the surface) this can be fixed by a light overcoat once the surface is dry in order to re-achieve a smooth finish. Do not apply during rain or frost and when surface air temperature is < 0c and > 45c.

Benefits
Lifetime Roof Coating

  • 25 years+ performance
  • Resistant to standing water, highly suited for use on flat roofs where this can often be an issue
  • Instantly water repellent after application
  • Ready to use
  • Can be applied wet on wet coats
  • Resists moss and lichen formation.
  • Highly uv resistant.
  • Non flammable
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Suitable base for living walls / roofs

Cleaning Of Equipment
Lifetime Roof Coating

Remove as much excess product as possible and clean tools and equipment immediately after use with soapy water.
